Do my eyes deceive me or is Joe Mattock.....

really enjoying his football this season?

Looks as though he is really up for it, going forward much more and laying off some superb attacking passes.

    Well done Joe.

Always in front of Purrington for me (like I keep saying )

He plays his best though when Newell is on the pitch

Had a great game and was getting stuck in and making some great runs down tithe left.

Got a right rollicking from the bench for cutting inside on one run and leaving the left exposed.

Agree can be very inconsistent but best game for ages yesterday from him particularly his defending. Maybe a kick up the arse ie playing purrington has done him good.

This is certainly the level where we are able to compete effectively without spending money we can't afford.
The Championship will always be a step too far but we should still aspire to get back there providing the club is better prepared than last time.
I thought Joe Mattock was excellent last night and would have been my man of the match if Frecks hadn't been so brilliant 😊
