Remember our 'home double' over them in the 97-98 Premship season ?. They rarely managed to beat us in those days but whats worrying since 00-01, we havent beaten them since!.

Heres the league game which was our first home win of the season, and a rare goal from Georgi the Mac. Gerry Taggs was in their team at the time and sadly this also marked the end of David Watson's playing career didnt it.

And we also beat them 1-0 later on in the season, in the Fa cup thanks to a quickly taken direct free kick goal from Daz Barnard.
That game was more remembered though for the bad tempered flare up on the touchline where the players and coaches were having a go. And unbelievably one of our stweards was escorted out of the ground by the police, what on earth did he do.

Good luck - a win and then destiny is back in your own hands with a game in hand.

PS Heckingbottom looks a little shaken at ER -can’t see him lasting much longer

    Tahh Hopey.
We're in trouble obviously and we NEED to win tomorrow, and then of course we're coming to Leeds the following week, and who is the Leeds manager these days ?. Ohh yes its him isnt it, dont remind me.

Btw, heres the brief highlights of what I was talking about, the scuffle on the touchline and the steward being marched away!.

The way way we are playing you will get at least a point. The only question will be what colour wrapping paper you’d like the points to come in.

Dave Watsons career was ended against Norwich the season after Acido. Watty had a decentish season in the premiership despite the number of goals we conceded. I remember some great saves he pulled off in many games. I particularly remember an amazing save at Newcastle from a shearer header. Top class.

I forgot he carried on throughout most of the Prem season Pass, but he did come off on a stretcher after an awful collision that night against Bolton. And its arguable as to whether he wasnt the same anymore after it. That match where he flung himself across the goal and clawed out Shearer's header, was that in the Fa cup qtr final match at Newcastle ?.
