    Yet more defensive options crikey

Another defender. I feel the squad is big enough now, just need players playing in their best positions and more emphasis on attack.
Another thought, was there another Prem club yesterday who didn't have a home grown player in their 17 man matchday squad? That is both a disappointment and a concern. Begs the question: do we really need an academy?

I think we've got something like nine or eleven players out on loan gaining experience with lower league clubs Chris.

Not sure how many of those who are still here would have made much difference on Saturday.

And yes, I do think we need an academy.

Still early days yet and we do have some promising youngsters coming through.

    Keep the faith .

Had that academy a long time. Only Berahino & Chris Woods from it are in the Prem. No others have been regular top flight players in the past either. Seems we would rather buy than trust the kids.

I thought we brought Chris Woods over, as a 17-year-old, from New Zealand and not through our academy, but I'll stand correcting

Around this time last Year I saw chamakh and Sissoko play for the u23 on trial, and if there was any truth in this I would have thought Sagna would have been on trial too as he's much older than them.

So i think this is agent spread rubbish
