O/T Cricket Es*** v Yorks

Final games of 2017 County Championship start today (Monday). Yorkshire need to pick up another six points (according to the experts) against Es*** to be mathematically safe from relegation, if all other results go against us. That figure is likely to be reduced during the day - for example if Somerset were bowled out for less than 200. we would only need one more point.

Ryan Sidebottom is in the Yorkshire 14 man squad, but will probably have more fitness checks this morning. Although Yorkshire fielded a five man pace attack in the previous fixture against Warks and won, there are likey to be some team changes

Having watched yorkshire every match at home and a couple away and the steady deteriation in our performances heads will have to roll including Moxon we have been papering over the cracks for the last 2 years time to rebuild under new coaching staff or else relegation will come next season.No excuses Moxon time to fall on your sword we have had enough go go go.

But this result today just takes the biscuit, the whole team should hang their heads in shame for this utter shambolic phoned-in performance.
Whoever goes down now, we have to admit we've been more than a bit lucky to stay up.

Completely agree. get Jason Gillespie back NOW and clear out the dross. Apart from Ballance the batting this season was pathetic.

We may have missed the players on England duty but look at the odd games where some of them did play, they made little or no difference so we cant keep making that excuse. Lyth & Lees were both ace as opening batsmen few years ago in our 2 successive title wins, but they have become a joke since then at county level, and its hard to believe that Lyth has such a good record in the one day game.
I hoped we could push the boat out a bit and really go for one of the one day Trophies this season, and when it mattered we were hopeless at home to Surrey in the One-Day Qtr final. And how we didnt even make the T-20 Qtr finals is anybodys guess.
