The problem isnt team selection. This was a much better positive team selection today there just seems to be a general malaise about the lads. The only plus is getting one point after playing this lack lustre.

I genuinely think that Pulis sets the team up to absorb pressure and try to nick a goal from the very odd counter or a set piece. It really is a rudimentary style that is hard to stomach, even despite our apparent mid-table status.

Agree CB. We are fortunate that the PL is weaker than it has been for years and that gives our position a false standing. On top of that, we have had a very easy month + of opening fixtures and much tougher times just ahead, starting at the Emirates next week.Originally Posted by curlybaggie
