and there we go ---- Liverpool 1 Burnley 1
still think we should have tested them more - but hey-ho.......a very good away point to take.
Cheers Alto and all - be safe.
Well done Burnley.
Just back to see the score. That's a good result and still unbeaten away from home which is amazing given the teams we have had to play. Gather Pope made two great saves so well done him. Well done Scotty too. Currently 6th and likely to be 8th wow!
Liverpool 35 shots and 9 on target- the Dyche force field only slipped up once. We had 5 and 4 on target. Can't wait to see the Expected goals score.
A great result away at Pool.. That's 5 bonus points already away from home that I didn't think we would get.. A bigger well done to all te team, especially Popeye ..
I was about to start a thread titled ‘the season so far’ or words to that effect, however the post above gets the ball rolling:
When the fixture list came out, I doubt anyone on this board would be shocked if after 3 away games against ‘the haves’ we would have accumulated zero points, we have 5. Realistically we could have expected 4 points from our first 2 home games, we have 3. So, according to my reckoning, we’re 4 points ahead of schedule, along with a respectable goal difference of +1……….32 points to go
As for today’s game, not pretty but a typical Dyche team effort. One thing that confuses me though is, dating back to last season, why do the ‘haves’, with their multimillion $ talent appear to have such a hard time against Burnley, when they know full well what they’re up against? No matter though, I’ll take the trend
‘The Pope’ did very well, very impressive, although he needs to watch his time wasting, at times it was too blatant.
