Our football is worse to watch than even last season.

We banged in 3+ goals in a number of games in the first part of last season,there was reasonable entertainment but this season is absolute dross.

I hope to God we see Burke and Chadli on Wednesday and if Brunt plays then FFS play him on the left,his crossing when on the right is abject.

There's no point in hiding the fact.....our football is boring,pointless S H I T!

If we are to play a lone striker then he has to be big, hold the ball up and be decent in the air. Rodriguez has none of those features so why did we buy him? He also isn't a wide player.
Rondon has them all but isn't very good. He isn't helped by lack of support from the midfield who are usually nowhere near him. Rodriguez in the hole behind him where Morrison "played" yesterday may work. Pulis hasn't tried that yet, far too attacking I'd imagine.
Wingers on the wrong wings nullify said wingers. Someone on here suggested Brunt as MOTM. I thought he was very poor, his worst performance for over a year. Phillips seems to be our only player who can go past an opponent but again was on the wrong wing and again was restrained by the tactics.
It's all very well going for a draw against every other team but more often than not it will be the opponents who nick a winner rather than us. We've got away with it so far this season, I can't see it lasting.

I think the formation needs to change. It is apparent that whoever he plays where in this current formation we are not going to score goals or create chances.

If you are going to play a lone striker, then it has to be one in the same category as Regis or Lukaku.
I think Rondon is probably better than we are seeing, his goal record at previous clubs is good, but he isn't a lone striker.
He is also probably so low on confidence now that he will never do any good here.
Another square peg in a round hole, and we have far too many players not in their natural positions.

Everyone on this thread has valid points. I'm certainly thankful for what Pulis did in the early stages of his tenure to shore-up our defence and instill a better team work ethic. However, that has come at the cost of eradicating attacking threat and we must be the worst team to watch in the PL, by some distant; sterile, one dimensional and utterly predictable, reliant solely on set pieces.

As an earlier poster said, Pulis has a great knack of stripping any player of his god given flare and then playing him out of position to boot. Surely it must be easier letting that talent loose in a proper formation and having a go, without necessarily sacrificing a solid defence. I would love to see Chadli, Burke, Brunt, Phillips, McLean, Rodriguez, Robson-Kanu et al play their natural games, but that will not happen under Pulis.

I watch all games here in Dubai but even I'm now close to doing something else on match day that is more fulfilling. If I still lived in London there is no way I would travel home and away as I did for years. The money/time v entertainment equation is just way out of balance. I genuinely fear for us this season once we start playing the stronger teams.

London, I think your most pertinent comment is ' without necessarily sacrificing a solid defence'. You can still set up to be organised while at the same time giving the freedom for flair players to express themselves. This is what TP fails to do. You can guarantee that if we are one up with about half an hour to go we fall back deeper and deeper bringing players such as Yacob on to hold on to what we've got. As I've said many times before; you don't concede many goals when playing in the opposition's half!

Whilst all the previous posters have many valid points, I fear that our worst nightmare could come in future transfer windows. Let's face it, how could we attract any decent strikers with our current playing mentality. No striker in their right mind would want to come to us and get isolated as much as our current strikers do. Both Rondon and Rodriguez started well for us but have become disalussioned with the constant isolation up front and have consequently gone off the boil. Pulis may just about keep us in the division but we have absolutely no chance of getting any form of silverware in the foreseeable future.

So, I think we must ask ourselves, do we want to watch this negative dross week in week out or get another manager in who may play a more attractive game but with a chance of falling through the trapdoor?

The main point for me is that we already have players with the right work ethic who CAN defend and who are 100% solid,quality Premier League players,a change of manager is not going to change their personal ethos of affect their playing quality.

You need to allow and trust your front four players to attack and to remember their defensive duties should an attacking move break down.

The main thing lacking from our side is a dynamic,attacking central midfielder who can carry the ball and break the first opposition tackle and get the opposition defence back-pedalling but Morrison is incapable of doing this.

You also need to have fullbacks with pace who can support the attack and recover and get back when a move breaks down,Gibbs excited me in this regard yesterday but Dawson doesn't,Nyom is the better option for this but Dawson is the better defender so Dawson will win with Pulis every time.

We have good players who are ruled with a rod of Iron by a manager who's only re-mit is to protect the owner's interest and his own legacy of "no relegations" and to ensure his end of season bonus.

We are so close to having a really good and potentially exciting team that I feel very frustrated.

I accepted our playing limitations under Megson but the present situation is infuriating.

Another manager would have no more of a chance of getting us relegated.
What is with this nonsense of Pulis being the only manager in the entire universe who can guarantee us survival?
Anybody who believes such rubbish needs to look at the form this year. One home win in seven.
I reckon another manager (whoever) may build on the solid foundations and move us on and upwards. Man manage the players better. Stop lying about fictitious injuries.
I agree the new players need time to settle, we have no pace.
But how many games did Gnabry, Macmanaman, Pritchard get? They didn't get a look in and Why? Don't fit the Pulis mould do they.
Next week he will park the bus Livermore will make a miraculous recovery and Morrison will be back on the bench.
We are not going to survive this season without scoring goals. Can anyone see this lot scoring goals with that surrender monkey in charge?

Of course ours yesterday was even less entertaining to watch, but, you have to consider the money, players etc involved in the London derby. And the money they are on, appalling...
