    Before I call Atwell

all sorts of cunt, was it a pen?

We are directly in line with where it happened and, much as Atsu looked to have the ball caught between his feet, it looked-in real time-like a stonewall pen and red card.

(even without that the ref was appalling)

I'm only asking because it looked SO clear cut we were thinking there must have been something we'd missed.

In that case, he's a cheat.

He actually touched the ball with a blade of grass, that had attached itself to his boot.Commentators said brilliant reffing..
AAALLLthough when Hayden clearly won the ball from BEHIND and received a yellow, they also said brilliant reffing, deffo a card..
So mek ya own mind up...

But if this happened next season and we used one of our appeals..no pen...

That tw@t was itching to book Hayden after he decided not to for his challenge in the first couple of minutes. He clearly got the ball and the fella tumbled over...as they did all afternoon.

Talking of Hayden...he can go unnoticed but after he went off our shape disappeared to an extent and Stoke had a lot more of the game. Tbh, my two first choice centre mids would now be Hayden and Merino.

Aye Shelvey looked unsure where he was supposed to be.Probably to eager to mek ammends, nearly shat mesel when he gave the ball away in added time..

I agree 100%. There isnīt enough bite in the middle with Shelvey and Merino there. I donīt think Shelvey is a no. 10 but Merino might work there. For me, Haydenīs replacement is Diame (in central midfield) alongside Merino (shelvey is his replacement) and, as said, try Merino as a replacement for Perez at no 10.

I watched it in slow motion and don't see how the ref could see if he touched the ball from where he was. Penalty for me !
