Even with that Line up we are 25% down on our first choice starting eleven, Goalkeeper, CB, main striker and RWB who was our second highest scorer last year. Subs for me Ramsdale, CCV, Lundstram, Carruthers, Thomas, Brooks and Evans.
I presume ya mean Jake Eastwood on't bench,Rammers left us for Bournemouth.I think if Clayton and Leon are fit,one will start wi BROOKSY and Duffy just behind,or if Billy's also fit then either Clayton or Leon up top wi Billy.UTCB

You know what all this is leading up to dont you, seen it happen before we have a weakend squad and get more injuries during the game, they have found a settled squad, they win, they go above us,and go on a run to promotion, while we sink into mid table.

    Doh i'm feckin depressed.

Wavy I saw the same about Freeman on S2 but it doesn't ring true to me. Surely we have a doctor on site and if an x-ray is required we'd use a private facility. Maybe another bit of fake news like the Leon Clarke story a couple of weeks ago. Hope so anyway.

I think it's how Tufty decides to play - rather than who plays - which really matters.

We've seen Wednesday spanked, thoroughly outplayed, by footballing teams twice since Carlos has been at Hillsborough. The first was by 'Boro two seasons ago, when Reach played a blinder. That's doubtless why Wednesday signed him, although he's never played that way for the Owls. The second was by Brighton last season, who were sensational. There was definitely an element of revenge in that performance, and both these sides gained automatic promotion. Yet in these 2 years Wednesday have beaten lots of footballing sides, not least Arsenal and Newcastle.

Wednesday have lost other games, but these visiting teams used very different tactics. Namely, stifling/spoling tactics...and the one why sticks out in my mind - and still sticks in my craw - was the Ipswich game. McCarthy played that to an absolute tee, and got his tactics spot on.

I think Tufty will have to play differently to the performances at the Lane to win next Sunday. Now in fairness I don't watch United away, but if they are similar to the home performances then I feel it would play into Wednesday's hands. Mind you, knowing Carlos it will be him with everybody behind the ball and using spoiling tactics. Name: boris_johnson_funny.png
