That's a powderpuff midfield Tansey and McLean couldn't tackle a fish supper between them.

If we had a state of the art training facility within 50 yards of the ground i still believe DM would have set up with no width, no midfield and the wrong players on the pitch.

Rooney had a relatively poor season last season in the league and the reason is pretty obvious. For some reason he seems to think he can play out wide and so spends a lot of time in areas of the field where he has little to no chance of scoring. As his only real job is sticking the ball in the back of the net this is not useful.

We have had 3 bad games in a row. We really have never looked like we might score in the last 3 games and have only 1 goal to show from all 3. The reason is mainly lack of service to the strikers. The long ball up the field from Joe Lewis is not really service. GMS was not really doing what he needs to tonight, which is run the left channel. Instead he would pass the ball rather than take on the defender. Even so when he was taken off we just didn't have anyone to cross the ball into the centre. We must play a wide player all the time (not Rooney), because most of our chances tend to come from crosses into the box. We are also much more effective when we have players run with the ball, but this team seems much more inclined to pass than to take responsibility and run with the ball.

These issues need to be addressed if we are to have a decent season.

Adam Rooney of 2017 has been worse than a man short, cumbersome and dreadful touch.....as you say why put him on when we weren't even getting the ball into the box, it had to be Wright or Stewart and just keep the ball in their half and get in behind them but no he puts on Rooney and we just pump aimless balls up the park.
Rooney up top also shunted May out of position, did Rooney do anything at all in the game ?

Every single player was useless tonight, that was a return to the bad days of McGhee tonight.

Generally, we're too small & too easily bullied. See GMS. He's a f*cking passenger. He ran scared tonight from Cadden.
    We're a disjointed shambles.
No width after GMS went off.
Too many poor defenders. Why didn't Arnason start FFS?
    Powder puff midfield.
From minute 1, Motherwell outfought us & played at a high pace.
Their two forwards were excellent & totally bullied our back 4.
Everything stuck when the ball was played to them.

I get the impression if the stadium and training ground gets rejected McInnes won't hang around much longer.

If it does there is as much chance of Milne getting rid of McInnes than there is of McInnes dropping McLean.

    - McInnes had a nightmare. Sh1te subs, sh1te tactics.
    - Lewis had a rare nightmare
    - Considine had a horrendous match & needs replaced.
    - How the f*ck Reynolds got a new contract beggars belief.
    - outfought, out thought (on & off pitch)
    - powder puff in midfield, epitomised by Mackay-Steven who is a gutless wee sh1te. What a waste of a shirt he is.
    - we are p1sh out wide. We had nothing there.
    - McInnes does not know his best team or formation.
    - he's not as good as he thinks or some think he is.
    - baffling subs tonight. Tansey on instead of Wright?
    - Shinnie looks a shadow of last years player
    - This is going to be a long season

My prediction is we'll be 4th
By end October we'll be behind Dhims, SEVCO & Hibs.

    Tonight was completely unacceptable.

I don't think we'll win any of our next 5 games
You reckon we'll finish 4th? I'd say we'll do very well to finish even that high

Willie Miller has just accused GMS of bottling it tonight v Chris Cadden. Can't argue, we did it to him back in the day, with Flood and Robson. So McInnes thought he could change him?

Same with the rapist. The whole of Scotland could see the direction his career was going but not McInnes. When GMS was at Celtic & the PJMs, he was often being called a powderpuff wee show pony on here. Guess what? We've signed a powderpuff wee show pony. Who could've saw that one coming?

So after a so so start to the season it has become clear we need a pair of central defenders, an entire midfield and a pair of wide players to get the ball into a new striker in the Moult vain. As it happens it was our strongest position that let us down badly tonight putting us on the back foot from the first quarter of the match so we be as well throw in a new GK.

Problem sorted. Oh but then the players will get played out of position on a tombola basis so we need a more reliable manager that might take a chance on some young players but has the strength in his own convictions to pick his strongest 11 and trust that they are not so powderpuff that they can play once and maybe possibly twice a week every so often.

Is that too much to ask for?
