    'World Oldest Football League Club'... is there a professional club older than us or something? Surely World's Oldest Professional Football Club sounds better?

    I'm sure someone will be along soon to explain why we use this 'contrived-feeling' slogan though....

    I imagine it's to cover the chance of the likes of Sheffield FC turning pro, thus we wouldn't be the oldest.
    There's no point in it being "oldest professional league club" as every team is in the FL (for now)
