    This was far from a cack performance - poor goalkeeping along with some naive tactics let us down - Why did Lyle wander into an offside position after Dobbie made a superb goal opportunity - still a lot of football to be played but this goalkeeping position is rather worrying and you can see the defence don't trust him - St Mirren coudn't beleive their luck with the goals and even their manager admitted he has seen them play better !

    So there goes our recent decent record at the Paisley 2021 Stadium.

    We are now witnessing some barmy decisions by Naysmith. He started to overthink as far as the opposition is concerned rather than concentrate on our strengths . He is determined to play three centre halves in our starting eleven and it's affecting the balance of the team. Naysmith obviously likes Kerr, Fordyce and Brownlie and doesnt want to leave any of them out . Sorry Gary , this is not working , never will and you are pissing off players that can play right back. . Goodness know why him or his assistant can't see this . I don't mind so much when we deserve to get beat in a " fair enough as long as we tried our best " sort of way but can't stand making selection and tactical errors on our own behalf that make no sense, handicapping us from the start.

    Apparently a late replacement according to the official Queens match report.

    Let's hope that Naysmith reverts back to the tactics of early season in games such as Brechin.

    You may have nailed this on the head JR in that Naysmith may be over thinking his team selection and trying to accommodate the three centre backs. It was the same against Morton at home where Quitongo flourished in the absence of a conventional right back. As I said in my previous post I am keen to hear his explanation for the selection of Rooney in a midfield position rather than at right back especially when we had midfielders on the bench.

    There are two major concerns with Queens;

    1) -We need a new goalkeeper urgently brought in who is fit, capable of catching a ball and able to read a game, - basically anyone other than Martin and Leighfield.

    2) A proper right back who doesn't leave the team exposed.
