Different era's and yes Fester's achievement was notable, but not comparable to Taylor and Clough who managed it at both Derby and Nottingham with clubs that relatively speaking were small clubs even in those days the gulf between the Utds and Liverpools and the rest was significant in terms of resources, especially in a time when TV money was not a significant factor.

Was he better than the likes of Shankly, Paisley, Mercer and Fergie? I'm not sure about that either and we certainly shouldn't forget Peter Taylor's contribution.
Of all the managers around today I think Tony Pulis is amongst those who deserves the greatest respect. Tells it like it is in a Clough/Shanks like way but at a time when most of his players will be millionaires, cosseted by agents and protected by 22 carat contracts. All a very far cry from Derby in the early seventies.
If I win the Euromillions tonight one of the things I'd buy would be an EFL footy team and the first appointment would be Tony Pulis, not sure he's the man to get you a championship but he seems to know always know something most people don't, and I like his style

Regarding comparisons, the list you offer took good, well funded teams and made them better, BC took two virtually penniless piles of cack and made them the best.
