The Guardian says it expects him to leave his job as England manager before the end of today. Everyone seems to be denying that it is anyway related to the charges of racism and inappropriateness made against him by two of the England players.
Racism is never a good look, and if he did say the comments he's accused of - whether they were intended to cause offence or not - he should have been reprimanded and made to apologise.
However, the shady FA have blown this story into something bigger by their pay offs and cover-ups, and the guy's now had his name dragged through the mud and has been dumped after a trial by media.
Aluko has now had to sit for countless po-faced interviews and although the media may forgive her, you can bet she's made some enemies in the game - all for reporting something that should have been taken seriously and handled internally - not dragged up afterwards after bungled attempts to sweep it under the carpet.
Many don't take the women's game seriously, but those in charge can breathe a sigh of relief that they're handling it just as incompetently and corruptly as the men's.
