    EFL Transfer Window Change

Derby county and other EFL clubs will today discuss the possibility of changing the transfer window policy like the PL to close the transfer window before the season starts.

EFL clubs agreed to change the transfer policy and will now vote for it in February for the process to officially begin.

I hope both the EFL and the PL make it the double edged sword it, IMO, should be. What do I mean by that? Transfers go two ways, in and out. As far as I have been able to ascertain, the closing of the window only applies to incoming transfers and loans. Most other European Leagues start their season later than the English one. They have, according to UEFA rules, up to a month extra as their season has not yet started. We should also ban sales/loans to foreign clubs from the start of the English season so that a trainer/manager knows what he has to work with rather than lose one or more key players 2 weeks into the season.
