Just out of curiosity, if anyone has got the time and inclination to work it out, where would putting 5 quid on Grant to score anytime in every game have got you?
The odds for him scoring vary from week to week and I dont have a record of his odds for previous games. His odds to score anytime on Tuesday against Exeter are 11/4, so if say those were the odds in each game so far you would be +£30 and top of the competition table.
I think I see the way forward for the rest of the season!
Not a betting man at all but 12/5 to win on Tuesday, 16/5 to win on Saturday and 10/1 to win the league seem like giveaways.
The bookies still clearly don't rate us.
15/8 Luton
5/1 Mansfield
6/1 Exeter
10/1 Notts
14/1 Coventry
I think if we get results at Exeter and Mansfield we'll see that offer of 10/1 shorten.
I'll settle for two draws but who knows what's in store. I certainly didn't see the run we're on happening after the game at Coventry.
I'd say 10-1 is about right, I suppose our rivals for top spot would be Luton, Exeter, and Stags. My criteria for teams are manager who has already done it, average crowd (ie budget / squad depth) and having prolific goalscorers.
Tisdale and Evans have done it, I'd take Nolan over the Luton manager though.
Luton have a ridiculous squad for this level, with Hylton Collins and Berry and more. Stags have obviously invested in some good players and Exeter have Ruben Reid. Squad depth and prolific goalscorers are where we are lacking a bit but to be fair we are getting goals from all over which is a good sign.
So yeah 10s is about right in my view. Would be interesting to see what odds they give on Notts doing a Bournemouth and getting back to back promotions (or more). We do seem to be a well run club and that makes everything possible.
