    o/T FAO Sweeper

Just read your post on the dominance thread.

To my knowledge up until the mid to late 1990's it was always Wolves that had the slight upper hand in the bragging rights concerning victories but it was always slight.

Since then there has undoubtedly been a swing towards your own club and you are right to question why the term dominance was used at all when there is very little in it at all really.

Usually these type of threads are twisted to suit, for instance 'let's talk about the last twenty years but totally disregard the previous 110'.

    Evening Newcy,

As I've just logged on to be able to make my prediction for tomorrow's game I came across this post of your's - sorry for the delay in reply.

I spent a little time last night having a look at the results history between our two clubs, and since the first ever game in 1886, my information is that we have played each other 159 times, the last time on 12th February, 2012.
In that time we have won 63 times, you have won 54 times and we have drawn 42 times. To anyone familiar with the process of statistics, surely both clubs are pretty close to each other; I wouldn't say either club has a dominance over the other.

However, one can always pick a particular span of games to find a dominance, there were one or two series of games all won by us, but likewise all won by you. I think it is a case of looking for evidence to boost ones supported team.

In passing, I see that both the childish bullies have returned from what I think was a 10 day ban.

It certainly is and has been a close thing throughout history.

Reading the posts of some, it's hard to believe they are mature grown up adults with the "my clubs better than yours. Na Na Na Naaa Naa" attitude.

Regarding the keyboard warriors, I'm not sure who's worse. Them or the people who have the power to stop the singling out but choose to ignore it. It is, after all, there for all to see.

    Top man sweeper.
