I am surprised by this. The headlong rush to sack managers these days is ridiculous. As a management duo these guys have led their club to heights it has never previously achieved, yet they are emptied out after a poor start. Look at Thistle last year - terrible start but Top Six finish. Managers deserve a reasonable amount of time to get it right. Maybe if they were still failing after 15 games but we have not even had one cycle of the League yet. Owners have to look at a longer term than seven games (or four if you are Crystal Palace). It's crazy.

Problem is Gowboy that results and fans will inevitably decide a manager's fate no matter wether it's four games or twenty games into a season. The old manager's saying "Your only as good as your last game" is becoming more and appropriate in today's game. Falkirk have sacked Peter Houston after he got them into league play offs twice.Hate to say it but football fans seem to have the shortest memories.

    A tad strange decision IMO.

Are we due to play them anytime soon, and suffer the inevitable 'new manager humping' syndrome?
