    Matthew Tootle

Really pleased for former Alex favourite, Matthew Tootle, right now. Part of the Notts. County side that now sit top of the table and a defence that had only conceded once in their last five matches. Following this players troubled times in the past, he has really shown strength and character to pull through and begin to enjoy his football once again. Cracking goal he scored on Saturday too. Tough test though for his side coming up in their next two encounters (Exeter and Mansfield away).

I will second that Mick, although the goal celebration (like many these days) was utterly ridiculous!

Good to see our ex-players do well. Nice goal by Tootle, but I just switch off for goal celebrations - load of bo@@ocks. What happened to low key celebrations? Not every goal wins a game or competition.

Another clean sheet with Toots in that Notts. defence last night, as they beat high flying Exeter at Saint James' Park (3-0). He will be over the moon.
