    Tinkerman Strikes Again

Here he was again today instilling Rooney ( a right back remember ) into full back after dropping him for no real reason at all .Far better for me than playing a centre half there who cannot get up and down the park like Adam can, losing drive up the right flank .My argument is that he shouldnt have mucked about with our initial and ( so far ) successful four in the first place . Also if he hadn't, these guys would have been building up a better defensive unit by playing together these last few games . Surely to God , Naysmith is not going to be too worried about playing Montrose and we are going to see Rooney there again ?

I fully expect Rooney will play at RB at Montrose. Fordyce and Brownlie will be centre backs given Kerr is away with Scotland under 21s. So by necessity more changes.
Have to say i think our best display of the season was at Falkirk with Fordyce at RB a change that was due to a Rooney injury rather than any tickering per se.

I know I have been banging on about this but we have enough to contend with in the opponents we face every week without self harming our chances when we play them. Defences need consistent selections where possible in order to get a better working relationship. As said before , let the opposition worry about us attacking them rather than concentrating how to stop them. No one in this league is that good that we can't beat them and I don't think this seemingly more defensive approach makes us more watertight anyway.
