    Goodbye Big Lee

Kilmarnock part company with Lee McCulloch. Always felt his best days were in claret and amber.

Yeah have to agree, I never rated him all that highly and never got the hype surrounding him whilst he was with us either. As a striker - as he was with us - he was often ineffective, slow and not in any way clinical and it was no surprise that he reverted to a more workmanlike centre midfield role after he left us. It's hard to.believe there was a time he was subject of a £1M bid from Hearts whilst he was with us.

Nothing against the guy personally, he always came across as a likeable individual and an honest trier but he was a very limited player.

I always thought he was the ideal example of making the most of what limited talent he had...by no means spectactular but his trophy cabinet (not to mention bank balance) will be the envy of several better players. Fair play to him.

Surprised it went so wrong so quickly at Killie after he turned it round last season...curious to see if he tries again at a lower club or if he can't be arsed.

He's one who went through an arrogant phase when at The Sevco. However, in the last cuppla years he's matured IMO, and I've no ill will towards him. Whether he's 'Manager' material is a question yet to be confirmed? His days at Killie were numbered when he called out several players publicly a cuppla weeks back I reckon. He was correct in his assertions but it never ends well when that happens ... McGhoo's rants prove that point.
