Could lead to the European Super League says the Sun

Premier League giants including Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Spurs are believed to be monitoring the situation closely.

Real Madrid, Paris St Germain, Monaco and other major clubs in Germany, Italy, Portugal and Russia are also keeping a close eye on developments.

A source said: “The idea of a Europe-wide super league has interested the big clubs for years – and if Barcelona walk away from La Liga, it could kickstart the whole thing.

“No club in Europe would want to be left out, but a top tier of around 20 teams would be needed to really get things going.

    Now if we come 4th"....

In Boris Johnson's words, we might need to clear up the dead bodies first.

The Spaniards will inevitably resort to their usual modus operandi of brutal thuggery to put down any Catalonian revolution.

I’m not sure the result of the vote has been announced, if it can be announced. It probably can’t be validated!

    .

..."before the vote" - the Catalan leader (Puigdemont) reveals that if they get the majority....he'll announce independence within days..an odd move, because he'd realise there's around 50% of people that don't want secession from Spain, and stealing any of those Votes...wouldn't be done by panicking them.
Then - the Spanish government send in the strong arm to remove ballot boxes / stop the Vote - they use brutal bully boy tactics....and for it, the Catalan cause gains.....with massive sympathy.
But we had to have the icing on the cake.....so out comes the King with a message to the nation - but there's no condemning the heavy hand of the Guardia Civil...he says nothing to address the concerns of the Catalans, he/they decide only to add fuel to the fire...its all nothing more than "unacceptable disloyalty".

A comedy of errors....but there's method in this madness imho - there's a devil in disguise.

Spain's Constitutional Court has suspended next Monday's session of the Catalan parliament, in a bid to pre-empt a possible push for independence.
The court said such a move would be "a breach of the constitution".

Well we will know in an hour or so what the Catalan Government plans to do. All Hell could break loose if he says we are independent!
