He has just become a Dad, his wife and child are in another country and he has had no real time off. Maybe and in hindsight, it would have been better to give him a week or 2 to be at home, adjust, get his head right and then come back all fired up?

The biggest change in your life, imo, is when you have your first little bundle of joy, things aren't the same afterwards. People can debate this, but there is no way he can be fully focused on football at the moment no matter how professional he is expected to be.
    Fair point, well made.

Perhaps some people (both players and supporters) thought we were better than we actually are, and being top of the league after 6 games, we thought it was going to be a doddle. Just knock it about a bit and then score at will. Im hoping they will learn, and pretty quickly, that this league isnt like that.

We're giving the opposition way too much possession and freedom to run at us. That's where I personally think we are coming unstuck. 😐
    Agree Oz
The team should be aiming to defend an area in numbers closing in on the ball. Before our 'dip' we always had an overload of players in defensive areas. If you ever go man for man and it’s four on four, you’re always going to want that holder in midfielder dropping back in front of the back four EVERY time so it’s 5 against 4 surely, which WAS working a treat early doors with a fantastic team work rate that we all lauded.Ipswich game that 'closing down' waned but we scraped it.Millwall,Cardiff & Wendies exploited the fact that our exuberant Fancy Dan approach will not work away from home - so yes tactics were wrong IMO.Our full backs got caught to high pushing up against their full backs which allowed their wingers/wide midfielders to exploit the spaces behind constantly from my viewing seats.
But that's the game and despite the blips (that'll happen anyway) this season's start has really been much better than expected from a 'newish' squad/team.So in a tough league with plenty to play for the squad knows now what's expected and hopefully can change the game if the score requires as it 'ain't rocket science.
Ps Why is Pontus constantly rearranging his kit & doing up his laces during the match FFS - get him a bigger shirt, tighter shorts & some proper boots Mr Kit man

Didn’t play against millwall or Cardiff and yet we were dire in those games, need to find a system for playing away that’s all,

And it’s the Keeper and the rest of the defence that need more attention than Lassoga, Vieira needs a run in that midfield alongside O’Kane as well.

O'Kane played with cracked ribs via injection, played poorly and an error for goal! Baffling he wasn't substituted...

Bit extreme but a variation on what I suggested regarding rotation etc. Might be interesting to see the results provided you could "weight" the performances/results bases on what opposition we faced week on week.

Lasogga is class at this level its plain to see, Always looking for a scapegoat, The problem is the supply to him at the minute,

Have to agree that in certain games we have the squad to mix it up and play the shall we say more mobile guys instead ( Although he worked his *******s off against wendies ), But for me he plays most games.
