The Kemar Roofe Socks debate ..........

Question is ........ my young son got told to pull his socks up to below knee with tape to keep 'em up the French Referee instructs.
Problem was/is he tucks the top of socks underneath his shin pads as he doesn't like the rubbing of the pads across his legs (bless him).
Next game the Referee never mentions the fact he's got his socks rolled down again and tucked under his pads.
What is the actual rule anybody as I've told him to pull his bloody socks up & play.
He's now quoting Kemar Roofe does it so why can't he which obviously the French referees don't understand FFS !
Now Roofes Mum probably lets her son use 'micro' pads but I won't end of and my husband has sided with my son on this family dispute so who is right then folks ?

Its a tough one...if he stays stubborn the ref might not let him play and it becomes his Achilles heel. Think he should listen to his mum , get his head down and im sure great things are afoot, i can feel it in my sole.

They sound like a right pair, he might get cold feet and give in you never know.
