There is no doubt that Strachan is too loyal to the older brigade. Perhaps the occasion may have just been too big to start with the younger more athletic players but surely when it became obvious that the old timers were waning then that should have been the time to unleash the fresh youthful guys and had a real go to get that qualification spot. Time for some fresh new guy in charge who does possess the balls to make wholesale changes before we start the next campaign.
