that tatty name all over the club

Sports Direct get an absolute shlt load of free/minumal cost advertising all over the stadium and club shop etc.

Does anyone know how much it woud cost normal paying sponsors to have the same exposure within a stadium?
This is obviously a perk for the fat man.

I've said many times before when the Pro Ashley's bang on about him absorbing the debt for no interest that a good commercial manager would get that interest covered and profit left over by marketing the sales rights with sponsorship, exposure and shop selling rights as well as the numerous spin offs we don't know about which he's bleeding club profits from.

Maybe as long as we spend big on players, eh?

Yes that's the whole idea of commercial sponsorship. To benefit the club and not the owner's tatty business.

Yeah but that's not really been the argument with many, has it?
The argument has been Ashley's tat making the stadium look horrible and what not.

Imagine what the Chinese stuff will look like, assuming they took over?

If I owned a club and a business then I would advertise my business rather than get £5 million from another firm.TV money dwarves advertising hoardings anyway.

the big clubs in the champions league (Barca, Real, man Utd, Citeh, Chelsea etc) all make more no ey through advertising and merchandise / sponsorship than they do from the telly money.
the fact remains, we are not marketed correctly.

That is 100% right Mick. The whole show is run for the benefit of Sports Direct Tat.

Yet there will still be some posters with closed minds who don't want to or can't see this.

i couldn't care if pictures of Madonna's knickers were all over the place, as long as the club got the going rate for the service.

For arguments sake say, it would cost 10 million a year for a building firm to get the same as Sports direct get at the stadium and club shop. That means we are out of pocket by 100m in the Ashley era
