    Spend old pound coins before Monday

    Just in case you didn’t see all the news there are two spending days left, unless you have a rare one.

    Businesses can refuse to take them from Monday when they will no longer be legal tender.

    Got caught with a few £50 notes when they changed design, also just been to the Bank with old fivers last week accompanied by a few £1 coins, know what you mean about rare one's as I've kept a few Colner

    Cheers Alto, so that's it, Monopoly money. Mrs S has the odd £20 note in her purse but I've never seen or touched a £50 note as far as I'm aware. I thought they were just those things millionaires lit their cigars with in films, so just as I thought, they're not real.
