Temperatures are to reach 24c in places today. Hurricane Ophelia has wind speeds of 105mph and is supposed to landfall on Monday at Cork then sweep through Ireland and Scotland with winds of 80mph. It's been almost exactly 30 years since the Great Storm, this one could be as bad, lets hope it changes course and swings back out to sea.

Blackpool is gonna cop it on Monday, although the Met Office does tend to exaggerate its forecasts these days ever since they got caught out 30 years ago

I was there a couple of weeks ago as well, just a couple of days to ride the Paignton-Dartmouth and South Devon railways. Had fine weather both days. Loved it.
