    Gordon Strachan Leaves Scotland

Gordon Strachan leaves Scotland after two failed qualification campaigns which sees his assistant Mark McGhee leave with immediate effect and Scotland searching for a new manager.

The Scottish FA would like to thank Gordon for his excellent service for Scotland.

Whoever becomes the next manager of Scotland has to build for the future of Scotland and continue where Gordon left off because they came close to qualifying but they just miss that extra spark to get them over the line and that’s where the next manager of Scotland, has to find if they are to achieve their dream of qualifying for a major tournament.

    The long road begins now.....

Big issue that Strachan had on his hands was his selection on choosing players for his national team in crucial games he selected 6 Celtic Invincible's and left two Champions League players on the bench and when his team were behind and the game needed to change he decided to bring them on in the dying minutes of the game with little of an impact for them to make and change the game around for them.

Strachan was too reliant on his Celtic Invincible’s to grind out results then rather using his whole squad and that unfortunately lead to his departure from the national side.

Jason must be distraught, he'd given up his career for Gordon who has just upped and walked out

Potential managers for the Scotland job:

    Alex McLeish

    David Moyes

    Paul Lambert

    &

    Sam Allardyce

Paul Lambert would be my ideal pick giving that he has captained Scotland and he attends a lot of Scottish games on a regular basis which include youth development and has a vast wide of knowledge of the Scottish game and style of play. He is the ideal candidate for Scotland considering they need someone taking the helm who can mold the national side and take them to a whole different level and that is something Paul Lambert is very good at doing.

It seems there a lot of failed managers who are Scottish, so plenty to pick from!

Mackay – whose reputation was damaged by a text message scandal in 2014 – has managed Watford, Cardiff and Wigan.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes, former Celtic skipper Paul Lambert, ex-Scotland manager Alex McLeish and ex-ENGLAND gaffer Sam Allardyce are also in the mix.
