Did anyone really call another poster a hoodlum? It's not the 1950s, you know. I thought you were way too old to be accused of that. Angry pensioner maybe.

I of course will carry on attacking you as and when I feel fit. If there is one thing that annoys me (obviously my age has something to do with it) it is not so much your RW Socialist views, rather the impression you give of being anti Royalist, anti this and that and really not being proud to be an Englishman.

Back to the topic in hand. I would no longer complain to the Mods on this board than I would support Forest. I think this very fact has summed up your personality to a tee and deserving of certain adjectives I've used.

I'm only passing comment on the fact....... nothing more..... but it seems by the comments already coming in I'm not far out in my views.
Not anti-royalist, 'hoodlum' isn't in my lexicon, I may be anti this but certainly not anti-that. Never asked mods to ban you - just asked to tone it down.
Proud to be British for its reputation of siding with the underdog, offering a home to refugees and organising big events successfully.
Now off to see Scarborough Athletic play Hyde in the 4th qualifying round of the FA cup. Phone set to Notts

Let me guess who sends you "positive posts" to your Private Message
    Elite
    Andy
    BFP
    Driller

....and let me guess at the content of these posts, support of your Socialist views, a concerted strategy to undermine other posters, the personal life of ex-Chairmen/women

Do you get any negative PMs Sid?......and what do you do with those?......post them in the "ignore" tray?.....or do you reply with vague threats of retaliation?

Not finished with you yet Sidney ....... you've pulled the Tiger's tail once too often.

If you're saying you never called me a 'Hoodlum' then you are a bloody liar and I'm quite entitled to say that. I'm no expert on computers but if you or any other poster will instruct me on how to bring up a poster's past posts I'll show it to you in black and white. I understand one can only go back some 500 posts but I'm sure that will cover enough to be able to bring it up. I thought at the time the word was very old fashioned and childlike and not the sort of a description used by a professional writer of any standing.

"Proud to be British for it's reputation of siding with the underdog" - what are you on about? By nature we're a fair and tolerant people and always have been - providing we're not being taken for mugs.

"Offering a home to refugees" - well you may be, I would put genuine existing English people in need ahead of any refugee.

"Organising big events" - We've always been capable of organising events. However none of the three mentioned go into the annals of making us proud, they're just part of the way we are.

Again my age comes into the equation. We defended our country against the might of the Luftwaffe during the war with many young Englishmen giving their lives for our freedom along with many others from our other services. Since then we have excelled in engineering, sport, the arts and sciences and made this little island in the North Atlantic one of the most desirable places in the world to live. THIS MAKES ME PROUD AND SO LUCKY. I believe in my country and also believe that we control it in such a way as we feel fit.I don't see anything wrong in this at all, yet still we appear to have the weak ideologists looking to run this great country down. If this country is that bad, why is every bugger trying to get to live here?

So to conclude Mr Sidney ......... you'll now find you've met someone who's not afraid to dodge any issue with you. The first thing is for me to find the 'Hoodlum' mention - which I will - and then get the obligatory reply " Ooooh yes it slipped my mind", the easy way out eh? Well not in my book little man ........ because nobody infers I'm a liar.

To conclude: My remarks herein are made without prejudice ...... I believe this clears me of any character deformation...O.K?

Oh b*gger me, I live in fear of a knock on my door and being confronted by a 78 year old hard man and an accomplice who keeps stuttering the word 'happy'. Here come Luigi's boys.

What a childish reply from a self styled professional writer. "It ain't gonna happen".......... wonderful use of the English language, no doubt this is the way you would pen a letter to your placard carrying pals or others of a similar intelligence.

Taken in the context I think you mean (sometimes difficult to understand just what this is) I'm afraid I have to agree with you on this point and I'm glad you realise you'd never be considered for membership of my fan club as your qualifications would always result in your application being blackballed ......... I won't go into the reasons.

Thanks, Navy. I'll take you at face value and salute your magnanimity.
