    If The Takeover Does Collapse

Two weeks since anyone at the club have heard anything from the consortium , proof of funds were asked for and they've heard nothing since , I've little doubt these things take time to sort out and more so if there are multiple members of a consortium but you would have thought an update courtesy call to PC wouldn't have hurt .

If the story is true that is of course .

If it does collapse then where does that leave us going forward ?

Well I'd suggest possibly just business as usual , it's far from ideal but it isn't meltdown either , we do have a CEO , finance director , Head Coach , there is strong stability running through the club with a culture of getting on with it .

Possibly young Cryne may have to step up and take on the role as owner with a remit to find a buyer , duty may have to call with all due respect .

A difficult situation but not an impossible one and I'd suggest the more stability and lack of drama the more likely that the club would be sold at the proper price rather than a knock down one from a shark taking advantage of a club in desperation .

If Lee's consortium walk away then they walk away , their loss , we will knuckle down and carry on like we've always done turning adversity into a positive .

Spot on. We are stable financially and other than PC it’s business as usual. Return of the Maurice?

Many of us didn't want the takeover in the first place, so why be too bothered if it falls through?

Agree. Patrick Cryne has turned the club into a self sustainable unit providing we stick to the recruitment plan. That's the legacy he leaves us with which is something we have to build on in his honour. If or when we end up in LG 1 we'll just have to swallow. It's not the club's fault that we can't compete at championship level. However, if we keep going with what we've got then I don't see why we can't sustain football at this level. If the consortium pulls out then it could be a blessing.

Oh I dunt bleeding know. Que sera, c'est la vie, whatever

Something needs to be sorted at the club soon , we have a CEO and a financial director but we're run like a League 1 club and that's what kind of budget we have and will end up as a League 1 club again. The club is need of a overhaul asap.

Just out of interest , what would you like to happen if you don't want the club to be taken over. Not just to you Jonny but anyone who says they don't want it to come off

Yeah the PLAN made us financially OK but enough is enough we have a lot of young talent now so NO more selling let's build on it not DESTROY the squad again

I agree ESR and I was taking a short term view if the deal does collapse , we aren't at a stage where all our eggs are in one basket .

There's room for a contingency plan until a new investor can be found , sooner rather than later I'd concede .

    Eventually we'll come unstuck though
James Cryne doesnt want the club. We've that bunch of pill ocks coming back on train from Crawley to thank for that.
