Lovely grass playing surface at Palmerston

Only problem is that it's on the roof of the old stand .Maybe Queens are keeping their options open incase they get tired of the artificial surface.

iv heard it said something about no one being allowed up there to clean it due to some sort of safety issue ,and something to do with the safety certificate for the stand ,sooner this new stand gets the go ahead the better as cant be long now before queens wont be granted a safety certificate again then there will be no option but to demilish or leave it empty .

While I fully understand the financial benefits of our plastic pitch the roof of the stand looks like it might just be a better playing surface.

Quite a few comments on the state of the Palmy pitch on Pie and Bovril site and must admit it looks a bit strange with blackish areas and patches where the plastic fibres are flat.

I think there has been a complete cock-up here - and it may take a fortune to fix.
This is in keeping with the general poor maintenance carried out at Palmy probably due to cut backs. It's perhaps time to ask the fans to lend a hand for a tidy up - over to you fans liasion committee.

The first surface laid wasn't down for that long. Is this the 2nd or 3rd surface?
