    Hernandez- chiqourito

What a horrible human this man is ,

I was so disappointed with a player for most part ( at man Utd ) I had admired.

He was constantly mouthing off , pushing , diving and trying to get our players booked. ( got away with a lot on Mee without punishment from ref - I was praying for a 60-40 in his favour with Mee so he could smash him into next week)

So disappointed we didn't beat them tbh as they were awkward from minute 1 , after we gifted them a goal 2-1 would have been sweet.

The referee bottled a stonewall penalty when Hart brought Wood down and then another when Hart cleaned Barnes out.

Horrible team, horrible manager, horrible Hernandez! We will beat them in London.

The 2nd pen BT we were never going to get. If Barnes had been cleaned out on the halfway line like that, it would have been a straight red, but for some reason keepers are allowed to commit GBH in the penalty area with impunity. I don't know why, there's certainly no allowance for it in the Laws, maybe it will take a serious injury to a player before keepers are penalised for reckless or dangerous play, just like the 20 outfield players are.

And I'm not being biased about this, if Pope had done the same to one of theirs, I'm sure he'd have got away with it as well.

As a sportsman he went down in my opinion as well yesterday.

The ref was weak in not stamping down on his antics which were aimed at winding up the home crowd.

He must have taken over a minute to slowly walk off the field when substituted , ignoring Atwell's signal to go off quicker.

Why do refs point to their watch as if to inform the crowd that time will be added on for blatant time wasting then don't add the time on. 4 extra mins at the end was a joke.

You can only point the finger at the FA and Referee's, too many players crowding the Ref, talking back and yes Donz pointing at the watch is pathetic, why not get them booked.

A good pointer is Rugby, you don't see any back chat, or crowding the Ref, plus no mamby pambies faking injuries or theatrical dives when someone breaths on them.

The FA need to wake up, but seeing as we have been waiting for them to take proper action on most things for years nothing proper will be done.

Because they're winkers Donz, they're not interested in fairness or justice, just pleasing the assessor in the stands, as long as he indicates he's adding time on he'll get marked up, whether he actually does add it on or not is irrelevant. And on time wasting in many games the refs are the biggest culprits, often taking well over a minute to get free kicks taken, and insisting on calling players over and lecturing them at length when a quick word would suffice. They could sort the timewasting out no problem, easily, but they don't, and often they're complicit in it by allowing teams to get away with it, winkers the lot of them.

Just on the pointing at the watch routine, we were at Birmingham, Eddie was manager, we were attacking down the left in first half injury time and got a throw in, We wanted to take it quickly as there were only about 30 seconds left and we just had time to get a cross in. But the Birmingham fans wouldn't throw the ball back, Wallace appealed to the ref who pointed to his watch. We eventually got the ball, threw it in and the ref instantly blew for half time, he didn't even allow us to get a centre in, and this was immediately after he'd gone through the pointing at watch routine. I was like WTF ?!?!

Four minutes added time on Saturday was a joke. It took four minutes to get Barnes back on his feet after Hart cleaned him out. The two players needed medical attention and the trainers came on.
    Guess what happened next?
Idiot Atwell let them both carry on playing when Barnes should have been sent to the touchline after receiving treatment.
Hart then took another five minutes to take three goal kicks and "Mr Useless" blew up for full time inside the four minutes (the lad who sits behind us monitors such things on his stop watch!)

It is wrong to criticise the referee for letting both players continue after they were injured in an accidental collision when no offence was committed. This season there was a change made to the guidance to match officials which allows both players to remain on the field after treatment, as also happened when two Newcastle players accidentally collided in their match at Southampton yesterday.

Picking the bones out of the instructions we have:-

In principle, the delay should not be any longer than currently occurs when a
medical person(s) comes on the field to assess an injury. The difference is that
the point at which the referee used to require the medical person(s) and the
player to leave is now the point at which the medical staff leave but the player
    can remain.
To ensure the injured player does not use/extend the delay unfairly, referees
    are advised to:

be aware of the match situation and any potential tactical reason to delay the
    restart

inform the injured player that if medical treatment is required it must be
    quick

signal for the medical person(s) (not the stretchers) and, if possible, remind
    them to be quick
When the referee decides play should restart either:

the medical person(s) leaves and the player remains or

the player leaves for further assessment/treatment (stretcher signal may be
    necessary)

The referee decided that both players required treatment and there was no gamesmanship involved, therefore, he was correct in allowing them to remain once the medical teams were happy to let them do so. He would have stopped his watch at the moment that medical help was summoned, therefore, this does not come into the realms of added time, just as it is accepted that throw-ins, corners, goal kicks, free kicks etc. are parts of the game which will take time and, in the main, are ignored unless there are blatant examples.
Added time will always be a bone of contention and has never been addressed by any of the football authorities. We are as guilty as all the other teams.

    Great response Supersub6.

    Two things you are missing.

Hart deliberately in my opinion cleaned Barnes out and Mr Hopeless Atwell missed it completely.

From my crow's nest vantage point smack bang in the middle of row 2 of the Jimmy Mac Upper, Hart was on the deck clowning around winking at the Irons' trainer and then kissed Barnes on the napper!

When he had "recovered" he continued to blatantly time waste and Mr Hopeless Atwell was happy to let him do so!
