Cloud fu ck in cuckoo land.
Denver he's better than most we've had, monk was crap and got 7th lol
Sorry Clive, Monk was not crap, neither did he get the kind of support from Cellino that our current coach has received from the current owner. He was a tad one-dimensional for sure, but he could (and did) change when it was required, sometimes (not always) with the desired result. Remember he got 7th after a hard fought season when we were in or around the playoff positions for months on end, (not 10 games in and dropping) and had the team not dropped of a cliff for the last 6 matches, we would have been in the playoffs.
Christiansen had better wise up, make the selection and tactical changes that most of those who post here have already suggested, get motivating the players not waving imaginary yellow cards from the touchline, or our direction will continue to be downhill
Monk got nowhere near the support that this manager has. Other than selling wood and losing green he got everything he wanted and the squad is considerably upgraded along with the staff in the front office and even buying TA back. Just a whole different feel to the team's front office operations. We were buyers this year rather than sellers of our assets.
Think this weekend will be a big test for the manager.
If he trots out the same lineup as the last 3-5 games it's going to be a long season. been a long time since we have the best team on paper vs a lot of the other championship teams. Think that's the case more often that not. If you don't switch up and drive some of the players taking up space in the starting lineup you'll end up with the intensity we've have the last3-5 games.
Funny how good we were early in the season when everyone was fighting for a spot. Maybe switching back to our starting lineup opening game might light a fire under some of them.
I wondered that too - is Lasogga one of those players that 'has' to play.
I've nothing against the lad and think he's had terrible service - probably due to the way we're not tactically playing to his strengths, but if we're going to play the way we have, then going back to the original 'strikers' from the start of the season would see a better option.
As usual, how come we can all see this, but it appears the people/person paid to do so appears not to be able to see it - one poor game is unlucky - five is poor management.
anyone saying TC is crap and incapable after today? well done to EVERYONE involved today, BRILLIANT!
I'm not one of the ones saying he's cra p Clive, just saying that it's taken him too long to realise what the problem was//is.
Today we reverted to the tactics of the first few games, found some width and took the game to the opposition at pace.
We also fought all the individual battles, and had a midfield enforcer.
Most of this is what most people on here have been saying we've needed over the last few games (plus a change of goalkeeper).
Like Joel says, time will tell if he is learning fast enough in this league - at least today he has worked it out, so hopefully he will learn faster in the future.
And at least he IS learning - unlike Monk who stuck to his one approach through thick and a an awful lot of thin.....
Hmmm you gave us your doom and gloom about us losing Monk... He's been backed by Boro with best part of 50M and no doubt a now vastly inflated wage bill ongoing.... ask Boro fans if they would let us have him back...4th in league, ER back and alot more positives, guess no pleasing some
