    Latest from Ewood

Talking to my Blackburn supporting neighbour again this afternoon. He went to Oldham, he says they were utter ****e again, and doesn't think Mowbray can last much longer. He said they took 3,500 who were so disgusted that when the players came over after the game they got soundly booed and told to eff off back to the dressing room.

I could be wrong, it's a long while ago now, but even in our darkest days I don't recall our fans turning on the team. Am I right about that ? I can remember one or two players getting a bit of grief, Paul Cook in particular for some reason that always eluded me, but never the whole team, if they did I must have forgotten it, or I wasn't there.

3,500 ? Did the Venkies give them free transport and tickets ?

I can only remember minorities during and after games giving the whole team stick Sinkov, but never the majority.

Aye there's always some malcontents Alto, I can remember some of our 'fans' giving Glenn Little a dog's life at Rotherham once. FFS he was the best player we'd had in years, but they really got on his case.

Paul Weller was the object of some serious derision. So much so, one idiot got a smack in the gob from me for his constant dog's abuse of Weller, coincidentally also at Oldham. Paul then scored one of the best goals I have ever seen from a Burnley player. That goal was one of the reasons we managed to avoid the drop that season.

I have never, ever singled out one of our own for poor play. I have laughed at one or two, especially around 1985/6 because we had some real dross playing for us way back then!

Derek Scott used to get some abuse ..

Hopefully within a couple of years ,the Bastids will be the best supported team in the blue diamond northern area league..

Listened to Mowbray giving it post-match on Radio Lancs on the way home from the Turf - OMG he sounded absolutely ****ing desolate!
    I know it's a bit early but...
