Looks like Leicester are appointing Puel as their new manager, so if Dyche isn't good enough for them it's hard to imagine Everton being too keen either. We can calm down, he'll be going some day, but not yet.
Put yourself in Sean's hand made leather shoes- have a good long hard think about your journey from being appointed 5 years ago to now. Most managers get sacked after relegation from the PL but this club stuck with him and showed loyalty because they could see what he was about and that all he needed was time, Alot of clubs dont give their manager time, just look at what has happened this season alone. Sean and Burnley are a great fit- great integrity, understanding and honest. We know that some managers are ambitious and want to better themselves at a so called bigger club and we have seen that fall flat on its face sometimes as well.
I would love to see Sean stay at Burnley for the long haul and why not?- Fergie and Wenger have done it, but we know that football isnt always that simple. Once he has established us as a steady PL club, flirted in Europe, then we may see him leave our shores. In the eyes of the so-called big clubs, he is a thus far unproven manager in terms of winning trophies and European experience which is what they seek. Leicester on the hand just want to stay in the PL at the moment and then push on again but personally, I dont see them hitting their recent former heights again.
My gut feeling is that he will leave when he has achieved his plan for the club and that his next job will be England boss after Southgate. It's a dangerous feeling to have as I cant stand Southgate and what him out as soon as possible but he will at least be in charge until after the World Cup.
Hard to know what to make of him, they did a fair old demolition job on us down there last season, and he wasn't helped by injuries or Southampton's readiness to sell their best players. Overall though he has a pretty decent record as a manager, but somehow he just doesn't convince, maybe Foxes fans are right not to be impressed.
