    Dell are strange - some people swear by them, some swear at them. You will probably get a bigger discount off Dell stuff - but if you buy one I would recommend the 3 year on site warranty deal (and I am someone who never buys warranties)

    Dell and I agree about the warranty. Read reviews about the chassis of whatever you choose, I have two Dells in my office with plenty of life left apart from the hinges broke, a terrible design flaw. Meanwhile, My trusty Inspiron 1750 'The Cadillac' just keeps trucking on at seven years old, after the most extreme abuse.
