    The Question is....

Can Derby push on from this morale boosting win?
No use beating us, we are just also rans. It has to follow with say 8-10 points from the next 4 games.

Errr no! We should of pushed on after spanking Hull 5-0 but we dropped it into reverse, don't think we've stopped yet

Good question, I suppose the one thing that gives some hope is the inconsistency in this division, who would have thought Cardiff would lose at Brum?

I would say that Villa and Wolves are the two to catch. No other team seems to be able to put a run together.

More optimistic now because defence looked sound, Russell had best game in ages and Nugent Vydra seemed to be building an understanding. Midfield needs Thorne ledley pairing and we managed the game well.. May be different if we go a goal down and have to break a team down. But of course Derby are derby so who knows

Sheff Weds at home followed by Norwich and Leeds away, 3 tough games against sides you'd expect to be challenging. Anything over 5pts be a huge bonus. Thoughts?

Less than 3 would negate the derby win

Yes, 3 tough games to come. If we are to build a platform to progress up the League we need a minimum of 1 win and 2 draws or better to be able to start thinking we could be a force this season. Having said that, as things stand...... IF, and it's a big if, we win our game in hand against Ipswich we would be a mere 5 points off the top. As it is it's only 8 points, yet we all believe we have had a bad start.

IMO, we are still in touch and it's a marathon, not a sprint. However, as we are Derby, we need to be there or thereabouts come January as that is the time we tend to start our collapse.

If we are within six points of the play offs or better come January then we have the opportunity to bring in additional quality and by that time Rowett should have a very clear idea of what is needed.

On past seasons we need to be 10 points clear at the top in January to be in with a chance of a play off spot at the end of the season
