So would you all be up to changing the stadium name etc and having say a load of adverts around the ground for say biscuits or airlines
all for a dig at getting into the top 6-8

because whoever takes over will want at least naming rights to the ground i would guess

unless these geordies come up with a package

I don´t think so. Look at Spurs. Relatively speaking not forking out ridiculous amounts of money and were the equal of Real Madrid yesterday. They have a chance of becoming and remaining in the elite and it wasn´t long ago that we were on a par with them.

They've always got the advantage of London though.

    But a good point.

I'd be surprised if anyone wanted to buy NUFC until the outcome of the HMRC investigation was known. Certainly I'd expect a buyer now to ask for some sort of indemnity to cover possible fines. If points deduction was a possibilty -and I don't know if it is because I don't know the FA Rules -it could lead to relegation i.e you buy a PL club and end up with a Championship one. Does anyone know if points deduction, assuming an adverse finding by the courts after the investigation, is a possibility?

Well if the sums that are been bandied around are correct..(not paying tax on £1.9m) I think paying said tax,a fine and a smacked ar5e sound about right! IF this is the extent of the avoidance?
FFS Jimmy Carr avoided paying tax on £10m,and got fu*k all...

the people who want to buy the club, will buy it regardless off said tax charge. in fact, it puts them in a position if strength as big Mike is (for once) on the back foot!

Amanda Staveley looks the best option at the minute but I get the feeling the press are, and will continue to be, in the dark on this. (If only that would stop them guessing all the time).
I wouldn't mind being in the dark with her tbh.
