Good to see that we snapped him up aged only 67

Good for him, wish I could've seen him play in the day.

Must be the oldest midfielder still plying his trade. Was he on the bench last Sunday?

Whisper it quietly...but I used to see another football club...so the first time I went to the BBG it was as a spectator rather than a supporter. Derby were Champions and McGovern was playing...couldn't believe the amount of stick he and O'Hare received from the home fans. Leighton James was another to feel the wrath of his own supporters.
Maybe that's why McGovern's affections lie more with Forest these days...well that and two European Cups.

We've long been renowned for having our share of imbecile supporters!! Unless they score loads of goals or kick seven sorts of **** out of the opposition they're crap according to many supporters!!

Lol...pleased to have brightened your day Adi. (Best not mention it was Sept' 1972 and just over forty five years ago then.)
Thought you were a Shrewsbury fan anyway.
