I believe there is a few candidates out there that would take the job, but with that dick ST pulling the strings no one will surrly want the job. I eould take anyone from the three man shortlist below.

    George Burley
    Steve Evans
    Billy McKinlay

I wouldnt have Steve Evans anywhere near our club and Burley is basically retired. Badger I see sense in but just now? Dont know enough about his managerial capabilities to comment. All opinion of course.

Loved Badger as a player. However he is an ex player and I wouldn't want him to go down the same route as Kirkwood, Sturrock, Hegarty, Brewster, Mixu or McKinnon. Great and good players but tarnished their reputation by taking on the managers job imo. McIntyre was a clever and intelligent player and again I wouldn't want his reputation to be in the gutter by taking the job on.

A Burley to groom a successor and to take on Darren Taylor and Ray’s job for short to medium term? Put in place a proper structure at united?

    I’d love experience this time.

At this rate anyone over 50 gets my vote!!

I ally hope it’s not John Hughes. His overall record is not great. If you think of Hibs as his big break at a top club then that did not work out.

I’m still liking to think we are a top club. Certainly Ray was quite honest about the pressure he felt managing this club
