Nolan often turns towards the Pavis stand and shakes his head in disbelief at some of the fans that are moaning.

Well I sit in the Pavis Stand behind the Dug Out and unless I require a hearing aid I have not heard the fans shouting out moaning & minging i961 I suggest that you are using Nolan's action to suit your cause.

You should definitely enquire about a hearing aid.

It's definitely a 'shake of dissaproval' with the fans, someone shouted something stupid against Barnet when we were 2-0 up and he looked back surprised, shook his head then saw me laughing and shaking my head at it and he laughed back. He's also spoke in post game interviews about 'moans from the crowd' before and players having to ignore them.

Well he will get "moans from the crowd", ALL managers will, you cannot please all the people...etc. If we were to play out from defence it will please some but there will be others shouting "GERRIT FORWARD"! Conversely(!) if the ball is given a hefty boot forward, bypassing our defenders, you will hear the cry "KEEP IT ON THE GROUND, NOTTS!" 'Twas ever thus, fans will have their moan and managers will have a laugh or sob a bit - and grow a thick skin.
