    Matt Doherty

Under contract or not, I won't be surprised if there is interest from some Premier League clubs come the next transfer window.

He's playing very well and covers so much ground, he's fitted into Nuno's system very well.

Dare I use the corny expression 'given the chance to express himself more?'

It's so refreshing to see the link up play, the attacking intent rather than the rigid static back four that this country tends to promote where full backs crossing the halfway line is seen as a no no.

He offers Wolves a very good link going forward. I've said numerous times if you can stop the Wolves wing backs from playing, then that's half the job done, yesterday i thought he was excellent going forward. He offers an outlet for the likes of Neves and Saiss to find, he's also often left with acres of space.

To be fair, he wouldn't suit your style of play anyway.

He likes to attack the opposition.

Wokes, why waste your breath, mate ?.....you can't put brains in statues. As far as Doherty is concerned , if push came to shove, he would definitely not be the first squad member I would choose to let go. As a defender he doesn't shirk and always seeks to threaten the opposition goal. Carthorse ? ...not in my book.

He's come on for the Republic of Ireland in their game against Turkey, fair play to him and fully deserved.
