I always used to go to the home games in this competition when it was just the Pisspot Trophy, even though it was pretty uninspiring. As soon as Premiership academy teams were allowed to enter I vowed to boycott it. Even if we go all the way to Wembley I won't be attending any of the games.

Exactly the same for me. They are nothing but glorified reserve team games (tonight both Notts and Mansfield made 10 changes) and we do not play real premier league teams, just a franchise as these teams have little if any players who have kicked a ball in anger for the first team of the club who’s shirt they wear.

A complete and utter farce that is 4th place priority for League two teams behind the league, FA Cup and league cup.
