Thread: Posters from the golden age of SF.net - share your memories....

I'd like to think we have all grown up. I’m married now with 2 young kids, move to Ayrshire last year and built my own house in the countryside. I still follow fitba but I don’t go to games really and don’t take it seriously. I only tend to get worked up about Scotland.

There were a lot of laughs in the old days but I probably got too involved at times. I don't think I was ever bad or cruel but I do think I was probably, at times, somewhat obnoxious, belligerent, bellicose, truculent and self-righteous.

But life experience changes you so much. I don't even go in for organised religion anymore and I'm an avid egalitarian and supporter of gay rights.

Time heals. I hope we can all be friends.

Mental? Me? How do you make that out?I always thought of myself as one of the more saner ones, though some would say that in itself was proof of being mental right enough 😮

Who was you from the old days anyway?

it got shut down.A lot of Celtic fans complained to proboards and even their sponsors to get it shut down because they felt I was betraying them by not moderating Rangers fans unfairly in the style they would like. Didn’t have the time to set it up properly again, just had too much on. But it was an interesting experiment. Let a lot of fans say whatever they liked within reason and it just flew. It was doing 1000 posts per day and 40000 page views a day by the end.

Remember Reve's thread asking how they got the tunnels to meet up when they built the London underground?

One of the highlights of the internet Era for me, Clive.

I remember he asked how they knew where to build the stations so they met up with the lines. I told him they guessed and sometimes had to adjust the lines hence why the real lines werent as straight as the underground map.

    Welcome back, Peter
