    I've just looked it up, serious. It was Eric Houghton, who became manager the following season, when we won promotion to Division 2.

    A win would brighten my day but the old pessimism hath returned. I expect a loss but will settle for a draw, anything so long as it isn't the hopeless boot-it-anywhere-I couldn't-pass-wind that appears to be creeping back like a drunken uncle.
