    The conscripts who gave their lives in 2 world wars demand utmost respect but why are paid soldiers, often involved in dodgy conflicts, put on a pedestal above other professions? The real heroes are the volunteer charity workers who go in to war torn areas with the singled minded purpose of saving civilian lives no matter who they are.
