Let's not get carried away.....but can we start to believe......

So many similarities to Jim Smith and Billy Davies teams that got promoted.....slow start then great runs based around good defence ....could the same be about to happen......you have to believe that it just could. It would bring some sunshine to dark winter days. Let's start believing !

Best result of the season so far. Winning away against sides like Norwich is a good sign.

Don't forget we are derby and things in recent seasons have gone to pot from January in the winter mud. .SlowAndSteady wins the race. Well done to the players today though.

All about sustaining this good form that we are putting together and keeping it for as long as possible and keeping our concentration levels up and getting as much points on the board as we can and taking it one game at a time.

So far so good for Derby keep up the good work.

Totally understand your caution Salopian...but, on the positive side, when we went up under Jim Smith we were awful until October and the same was true in 2013-14, we were poor and inconsistent in August and September and then barely looked back once McClaren arrived.
Long way to go and we might come horribly unstuck on Tuesday evening but there are no prizes for a decent start and you never know, this might be the start of something, especially if we strengthen well in January.

P.S. Bad day for your other side.

I did say all along I expected Derby to be in the top 6.
Looking at the rivals for promotion I see Cardiff, Boro and Villa as the main sides in our way.
I mean look at your team. You've got Nugent, Vydra, Huddlestone, Martin, Winnall, Davies and Bent and a few others.
That's quite a solid team already for tis division, so the question is why not?

Answer is probably in the fact that we can't seem to find a midfield blend to dominate a game and create numerous chance in a game

Meanwhile, your rivals also won. We beat Hull in Hull!
But bloody hell, our defense is as leaky as chicken with dysentery. 2-0 up all going easy, then we let them back in, luckily we scored a 3rd, because they did score a 2nd.

Well I'm not believing in anything for us, until we stop conceding goals with gay abandon.

Take a look at the form table below. Derby are joint 3rd in the last 6 played. Only Villa and the Blades are better. Last 10 and you are 5th. Does feel like a play-off side to me
