Spending a full day with him shows a degree of due diligence that is welcomed. Keeping Ellis is a smart move - could be groomed as possible successor. There may be eyebrows raised about the deal to 2019 but without seeing the contract that may be a red herring. I am hoping there is non promotion termination clause.
