I actually like the idea of him, would make us hard to beat at least
The Tele have just said 35mins ago that Hughes is the 'clear frontrunner'. They are basing the whole article on the bookies prices tho so it's nothing we don't already know.

Laszlo and Hughes now 5/4 joint favourites with Betvictor.

Would rather we slow down and take time with this appointment.

There would be no harm doing another round of 2nd interviews if required.

Hughes did well at Inverness, but went wrong at Raith is concerning.

Would avoid rushing into a quick appointment.

Is a 2nd interview really necessary? 1st interview and a track record is enough to go on. It's not like these guys are completely unknown to the board like in other lines of work.

    Makes sense Rocker.
The weekend results went our way and I’d have no problem with Ellis picking the team for Saturday.

Couldn't agree more, Thomson must do his homework into the next manager more thoroughly than ever before.

He must have plenty of contacts in the game to get a complete picture of each of the candidates. If he gets it wrong, we're in real trouble.

Taking a couple of weeks to make the decision and leaving Laurie Ellis in charge shouldn't make too much of an impact, considering our position in the league and the improved performance on Saturday.

Whoever gets it I hope we are all on hear moaning about how inept it was of ST to give them it until end of season and we all knew <insert manager> would do the business and should have got a 5 year contract . etc
